About the role

The Director of Analytics, Merchant Ecosystem will lead analytics self-serve, govern AI-assisted analysis, and own merchant and BNPL analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Own analytics self-serve: move from analyst-led reporting to governed self-service, and set adoption targets.
  • Own the semantic layer: certify metric layer in Snowflake, ensuring consistent answers.
  • Put analytics agents into use: collaborate with Data Engineering, Product, and AI/ML to enable business teams.
  • Govern AI-assisted analysis: set accuracy checks, review thresholds, and escalation paths.
  • Own the BNPL application funnel: build a trusted view of the loan journey, identify and remove friction.
  • Own merchant lifecycle performance: define health metrics, predict stalling merchants.
  • Lead experimentation: conduct A/B tests, incrementality reads, and elasticity studies.
  • Lead the team and advise executives: manage analysts, act as analytics partner to leadership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in analytics or data science, including management and development of analysts.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field.
  • Expert SQL, proficient in Python or R.
  • Experience building self-service analytics: certified metric definitions, semantic or modeling layers, and data quality practices.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM- or agent-based analytics, measuring accuracy and handling failures.
  • Strong funnel and conversion analytics in a high-volume consumer or transactional product, with solid experimentation skills.
  • Track record of influencing senior leaders and working with Product, Engineering, and business teams.

Qualifications

  • Snowflake semantic views, Cortex Analyst, or Cortex Agents experience.
  • Sigma, or another warehouse-native BI tool proficiency.
  • BNPL, consumer lending, or payments experience.
