Over time, you won't simply be associated with their child's school. You will become woven into the way they experience this chapter of their family's journey. Miami's private school landscape is tightly knit, highly interconnected, and unforgiving when mistakes are made. A family's experience at Alpha does not remain behind closed doors—it circulates through the networks that hold influence: the condominium, the country club, the yacht, the charity gala circuit, the WhatsApp threads that determine where the next family enrolls. You will grasp this reality intuitively, because your career has been spent in environments where reputation is the sole currency of value and a single error outlasts all other accomplishments. You will cultivate a community that families feel compelled to protect, where belonging feels natural and referrals emerge because the experience justifies them.

Miami is inherently global. You will engage with Latin American families, international business executives, finance and technology professionals who have recently relocated to Miami, and globally mobile households whose relationship with education—and institutions in general—has been formed by experiences well beyond the American independent school model. Many navigate between Miami, São Paulo, Bogotá, Madrid, and New York as fluidly as others travel within their own city, and they will evaluate Alpha against alternatives anywhere in the world. The ideal candidate for this position will be equally comfortable managing cross-cultural family dynamics—and the expectation of seamless, authentic relationships—as they are the more recognizable aspects of Miami's private school environment.

Alpha is not a conventional school. Students complete core academic work in two hours per day using AI-powered applications, then devote the remainder of their time to public speaking, critical thinking, and applied real-world projects. No lectures. No unnecessary assignments. Results in the top 1% nationally. The families who select Alpha have made a deliberate choice—and in a city where opinions abound and educational decisions serve as status markers, they will be required to justify it regularly. You will ensure they never struggle to articulate their reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Shape the cultural environment of the school community—the tone, rituals, and implicit norms that help families feel a sense of belonging—so Alpha becomes a place families take pride in, not merely a school they selected
• Manage the parent relationship from start to finish—from initial contact through enrollment, retention, and sustained advocacy—so teaching staff remain focused on students and families consistently have someone they rely on
• Be the first to detect when something feels misaligned, and address it with the discretion and judgment that preserves trust—including the more difficult judgment of recognizing when a family is not the right match
• Maintain visibility where families gather: morning drop-off, afternoon pick-up, evening gatherings, and the informal exchanges that hold the most significance
• Develop a community that both domestic and international families feel invested in protecting—and where referrals occur because the experience merits them
• Articulate Alpha's narrative persuasively—in private conversations, at community events, and in the settings filled with discerning, internationally oriented families where the school's standing is truly established
• Serve as the central trusted relationship for every family's experience at Alpha's Miami campus, and as the steward of the community culture surrounding it
• Maintain their confidence during challenging moments, define the traditions and tone that make belonging feel intentional, and establish the conditions under which satisfied families become active advocates within the networks that influence Miami's private school decisions

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Working from behind a desk—your visible presence within the community defines the role
• Adhering to standard 9–5 schedules—early mornings, late afternoons, and evening commitments are integral to the position, not occasional exceptions
• Delegating challenging parent discussions to faculty or other administrators—you assume full ownership of these conversations
• Relying on administrative infrastructure, established workflows, or a complete team—you function with significant autonomy and create what is needed
• Approaching family relationships as transactional accounts—this role values authentic connection over procedural adherence

Requirements

• 5+ years building and sustaining trust with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth families in a relationship-intensive, high-touch capacity
• Demonstrated experience guiding sophisticated clients through consequential decisions—with measurable outcomes you can reference: conversions, retention rates, referrals
• The discretion and poise to navigate sensitive, confidential matters without causing damage
• Proven experience managing and developing personnel—coaching, maintaining high standards, and executing difficult personnel decisions—not solely managing relationships or client accounts
• Innate cross-cultural fluency with globally mobile and established Miami family populations
• AI-first orientation—you use AI tools with ease, understand their strengths and limitations, and proactively identify superior alternatives, even if you are not building them yourself
• Based in Miami, available for full-time on-site work, and comfortable with variable hours
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Background as a head of school, principal, superintendent, or in a comparable educational leadership position
• Professional-level fluency in Spanish or Portuguese
• Personal or professional background with independent or non-traditional educational models
• Established connections within Miami's private school parent communities
• Experience working with internationally mobile, Latin American, or globally connected family populations
• A personal network that extends across the neighborhoods, social clubs, and institutions where Alpha's families reside and make decisions

Pay

The compensation level for this role is $250,000 USD/year. The payment period is weekly.

This is a full-time, W2 employee position. Early mornings, late afternoons, and evening commitments are integral to the position, not occasional exceptions.
