Director of Admissions Acute

About the role

Riverview Behavioral Health is a 62-bed inpatient behavioral health hospital in Texarkana, Arkansas, dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for adolescents, adults, and senior adults.

Responsibilities

• Lead the admissions team to support patients across various services including acute inpatient services, detoxification, IOP, and treatment for co-occurring disorders.
• Implement the strategic plan of the business development and marketing department related to admissions and direct potential clients to treatment.
• Cultivate the admissions function as an integrated team, address quality management issues, and assign/distribute evaluations, intakes, or admissions.
• Conduct quality assurance and improvement programs for crisis triage, evaluation, intake, and admission services.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for service delivery, and manage the hiring, training, and supervision of department staff.
• Ensure compliance with new laws and regulations, and recruit, train, and supervise staff.
• Manage department finances, develop and meet departmental goals, and promote the hospital and maintain a satisfied patient base.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Human Services Field or RN nursing license required.
• Three plus years’ experience in healthcare-related admissions preferred.
• Three years of work experience as a Director of Admissions in a Behavioral health facility preferred.
