Director of Accounting Operations (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and internal control enhancements.
• Research technical accounting matters and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Cook up external audits and maintain the integrity of financial reporting processes.
• Develop, mentor, and lead a team of accounting professionals.
• Partner with leadership to support strategic decision-making and organizational initiatives.

Desired Background

• Progressive accounting leadership experience with deep expertise in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated success managing, coaching, and developing accounting teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Experience within nonprofit organizations is a plus.
• Exposure to NetSuite, ERP implementations, process automation, or financial systems optimization is highly desirable.

Compensation

Compensation: $110,000 - $132,000 base salary + discretionary bonus opportunity up to 10%
