Director - Nursing Services II (SN)

The Director - Nursing Services II (SN) position at Skyline at First Hill is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about people and looking for a reliable, enjoyable role. This role is responsible for overseeing the nursing services within the community, ensuring high-quality care and fostering an environment that supports resident independence.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the operation of nursing services in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
• Develop, review, and revise standards, guidelines, forms, and job descriptions.
• Provide and promote staff educational programs, monitor attendance, and ensure compliance with mandatory training.
• Participate in management meetings and coordinate admission, discharge, and evaluation processes for residents.
• Ensure appropriate documentation, including functional assessments, and protect resident rights and responsibilities.
• Maintain a positive environment that encourages residents to function as independently as possible.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
• Coordinate with department directors and supervisors for various services provided to residents.
• Maintain records and documentation required by state agencies.
• Organize and promote educational opportunities for residents and their families.
• Participate in the Level of Care Committee and comply with state and federal requirements.
• Maintain current knowledge in clinical standards of practice, gerontology, rehabilitation, and other relevant fields.
• Monitor supply usage and equipment, plan for long-range replacements, and prepare departmental budgets.
• Resolve customer grievances and participate in community presentations to achieve occupancy goals.

Requirements

• Licensed Registered Nurse with a current license in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Three years’ experience in long-term care.
• Three years previous management experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Experience in system development and dementia programming.

Skills

• Ability to work effectively with staff and external constituents.
• Knowledge of state and federal requirements and regulations.
• Proficiency in promoting a positive image and maintaining a safe environment.

Pay

$145k - 165k per year DOE

Schedule

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
