Director, Nursing Research & Innovation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced nursing leader to advance nursing science, evidence-based practice, and innovation within a pediatric health system. The Director of Nursing Research & Innovation will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of pediatric nursing research projects and quality initiatives aimed at improving clinical outcomes and nursing practice.

This role involves fostering a culture of clinical inquiry, mentoring nurses in research, and translating findings into practice to enhance patient care quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and evidence-based practice initiatives in pediatric nursing.
• Drive quality improvement efforts to enhance clinical outcomes.
• Develop performance metrics to evaluate nursing practice and patient care.
• Partner with academic institutions for collaborative research and training.
• Support policy development and continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to set strategic research goals.
• Develop innovative educational programs for nursing staff.
• Promote a practice environment conducive to research utilization.
