Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage organization staffing and performance to achieve a high level of productivity.
- Provide timely resolution to technical problems to contribute to safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operation.
- Provide engineering recommendations and priorities important to the day-to-day operation.
- Development and monitoring of Engineering Department budgets.
- Review and approve activities affecting design and operation of structures, systems and components important to nuclear safety.
- Interface with State and Federal regulators to demonstrate continued safe operation.
- Cookordination/Planning of major scope work with team members (ex. OEM vendors) on Plant Systems.
- Review and prioritize the recommended Design Modifications affecting the safe and reliable operation.
- Foster an organizational culture that promotes the utilization of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Education, Experience & Skill Requirements
- An Engineering degree or related technical field
- At least 10 years of related nuclear experience
- Technical understanding of nuclear plant processes/programs
- SRO Certification/License for Nuclear Power Plant (preferred)
- Knowledge of nuclear codes, standards and regulations; budgeting, planning and scheduling, Vistra policies and procedures, nuclear station policies and procedures, and nuclear safety analysis and principles and practices
