Director, NPA Quality Systems Support
About the role
SourceAmerica is seeking a Director, NPA Quality Systems Support to join its AbilityOne Program team. This role will provide leadership and strategic direction for the quality technical support to our network of over 500 Nonprofit Agencies (NPAs) in alignment with U.S. AbilityOne Commission policy and requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead oversight of efforts and initiatives in providing program management, resources, and technical assistance.
Identifies and allocates resources needs in support of the team.
Lead project teams as needed to ensure compliance and performance.
Provide coaching, training, and guidance necessary to support other team members or initiatives.
Function as mentor, coach, and developmental expert, responsible for resource allocation, and may interface with senior leadership - internally and externally.
Initiates and leads communication with our Federal Customers and our NPA's to ensure performance and customer satisfaction.
Provide technical support in Quality and AbilityOne Program policies and practices.
Assists SourceAmerica business units, Nonprofit Agencies (NPAs) and Federal Agencies in coordinating and resolving contractual performance issues related to AbilityOne contracts.
Deploy and monitor Quality technical assistance experts to provide contract performance support and analysis.
Provide technical support and assistance related to AbilityOne contract/subcontract management and performance.
Support Cooperative Agreement objectives/requirements.
Establishes the strategy for Quality technical assistance to our network of NPAs in collaboration with business development and account management teams.
Monitor key performance indicators by quality, communicating business (SourceAmerica, NPA, LOB, CA, etc.) trends and possible issues; works collaboratively to take advantage of opportunities or mitigate risks.
Develop and conduct training on quality, training modules, guidance and webinars for SourceAmerica staff members, NPA staff members and Government Agency personnel.
Monitor LOB best practices to address pending requirement changes and impact on the program and NPAs.
Develops and establishes programs/guidance to proactively support the NPA network - examples - Inspection program, checklists, templates, industry guidance, pricing information, etc.
Lead teams to identify and resolve conflicting business requirements, data discrepancies, and create/maintain tracking reports for the department.
Maintain and create documentation on processes and procedures.
Ensure continuous improvement in quality programs and processes are aligned with the organizational International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements.
Manage budget to reflect operations goals for each fiscal year.
Oversees the team programs, expenditures and forecasting and procurement approvals process.
May maintain data/statistics to support the budget and ongoing performance operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Quality Assurance/Management, Production, and Contract Management.
- 15+ years of extensive technical knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO, Baldrige, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.) and processes and their application to the service and/or products industries.
- Experience developing and implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- 10+ years of management experience.
- Strong understanding of Federal contracting.
- Experience in the development and management of quality assurance programs.
- Experience maintaining departmental and operational budgets.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to understand and deploy resources to address complex performance issues.
- Ability to utilize high level interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills to represent the organization both internally and externally.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including development and delivery of presentations to senior managers internal and external to SourceAmerica.
- Strong personal computer skills especially database, spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in demanding conditions and to thrive under pressure.
- Industry certification or willingness to obtain such is preferred (i.e. American Society for Quality (ASQ) or equal certification for Quality Manager, Auditor, or Engineer).
- Demonstrated aptitude in continuous process improvement through innovation, coaching, counseling, and training as needed.
- Requires aptitude in business judgment and the interrelationships of suppliers and customers.
- Knowledge of federal government missions and contracting requirements for quality assurance and compliance.
