About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director National Medicaid South Central Regional Accounts to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a life sciences environment.

Location: Remote – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $204,000 – $255,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Lead Medicaid strategy and manage regional payer accounts to enhance formulary positioning
  • Drive brand growth via access strategies for Medicaid and regional payers
  • Foster relationships and implement market access initiatives with key stakeholders
  • Communicate product value through pharmacoeconomic models and outcomes measurement
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to meet market access needs
  • Create and execute account-specific business plans in partnership with legal/compliance
  • Provide insights on payer landscape to brand and sales leadership

Qualifications

  • Master's, PharmD, or MBA plus 5 years of experience in biotech/pharma/payer sector, or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Medicaid Pools, payers, national/regional health plans, state/local governments, and/or PBMs
  • Strong strategic influencing and excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability in account/business planning and unstructured problem solving
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. payer landscape and market access models
  • Technical expertise in drug reimbursement processes required
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time
