Director, ML Engineering & Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Lead high-performing teams focused on ML engineering and infrastructure
• Define and implement a strategic roadmap for ML systems and services
• Oversee the development of scalable ML pipelines for data processing and model serving
• Design distributed systems tailored for extensive ML workload demands
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Content teams to align ML initiatives with business goals
• Encourage best practices in experimentation and ML monitoring
• Ensure cost efficiency and performance in ML infrastructure investments

Qualifications

• 10+ years in machine learning engineering and distributed systems
• 3+ years in leadership roles, successfully building and managing technical teams
• Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning or a related field
• Expertise in end-to-end deployment of ML systems, especially in recommendation and personalization
• Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture and low-latency services
• Hands-on experience with deep learning tools like TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Demonstrated experience with AWS and Databricks for ML workflows

$292,000 – $417,200 annually
