Director - Master Data Management
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business functions/stakeholders on Master Data and Governance idea generation and drive changes when necessary
- Responsible for establishing, building and running the Master Data Domains
- Accountable for setting up standards, best practices, innovative and automation modeling techniques and procedures
- Drive harmonization of relevant Master Data processes across Wesco to provide a common and consistent view across the enterprise
- Define, build and lead a team of master data domain experts, architects to help design and implement Master Data processes and solutions and work closely with other Enterprise Application and Data Office teams for data syndication and use
- Champion data accuracy culture adoption to the broader organization by ensuring that Master Data Management assets are understood, available and used
- Develop metrics showing impacts of master data activities, to display key benefits and outcomes associated with master data
- Establish and communicate Master Data Management best practices including people, processes, and technology
- Drives operational excellence with a continued focus on Master Data, including advanced technologies, to optimize data value
- Define and execute the enterprise MDM strategy aligned with business and digital transformation goals
- Lead MDM initiatives across Customer and Supplier data domains
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field required; Master's Degree preferred
- Licenses/Certificates/Designations – Master Data Management preferred
- 10 years of IT applications/operational experience; with 7 years in Master Data Domain like Products, Customers, Suppliers etc.
- Experience in building and leading a team from the ground up, including hiring and ongoing people development
- Experience in building Master Data management Domains systems (Product, Customers, Suppliers, Reference) and establish Governance process from ground up
- Experience overseeing, developing, or implementing Master Data products
- Graduate-level understanding of machine learning techniques, knowledge representation, and artificial intelligence, along with a strong understanding of statistics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and organizational skills, and ability to effectively manage multiple work streams, along with demonstrated creativity and latitude in problem solving, including the ability to prioritize and execute multiple competing goals
- Strong presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Skilled in the management of complex systems and decision-making under uncertainty
- Excellent project and time management skills and strong attention to detail, with experience in adhering to best practices of managing the life cycle of data-intensive machine learning projects
- Strategic planning experience that adapts to communication between technical and business stakeholders
- Exceptional problem-solving and crisis management skills and ability to work independently/within a team

$153,662 - $211,286 Annually
