EOG Resources is seeking an experienced professional to evaluate and structure commercial agreements for natural gas liquids (NGLs).

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and recommend commercial terms and operational conditions for gathering transportation, fractionation, and purchase contracts for NGLs, including Y-Grade contracts, NGL purchase/sales/storage/exchange agreements, and NGL/LPG exports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of executed deals into internal systems (Allegro), maintaining alignment between commercial terms, confirmations, and mark-to-market reporting.
  • Analyze domestic and international NGL/LPG market fundamentals, infrastructure developments, and arbitrage opportunities to inform commercial decisions.
  • Negotiate new agreements or renegotiate existing agreements, becoming an expert on existing contracts to ensure compliance with pricing, measurement, commitments, and other provisions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Division Operations, Accounting, Finance, Legal, Credit) and external customers (e.g., pipelines, processors, gatherers, marketers, refiners) to coordinate volume and key commercial data.
  • Provide economic and market area evaluations to ensure production flows timely to the highest netback markets.
  • Develop and maintain models to support ongoing Midstream and Marketing department needs.
  • Stay abreast of key trends and market conditions, communicating insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present executive-level materials on business projects, strategic recommendations, and market conditions.
  • Assist with various projects and other duties as assigned by managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, engineering, or energy management (preferred).
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience in the energy sector.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Skills

  • Skilled in negotiating commercial contracts and interpreting deal structures involving price formulas, fees, and optionality.
  • Experience with NGL exports, including coordination of marine cargoes, terminal operations, and familiarity with global LPG and ethane market dynamics.
  • Project management from inception to execution.
  • Experience in commercial development, deal structure, and negotiations.
  • Ability to lead and work successfully in a team environment.
  • Ability to interpret contracts and proposals and translate them into financial models.
  • Able to work in an office environment with moderate to heavy daily pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Effective and efficient oral and written communication skills.
