About the role

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation and employment matters across the US and internationally
  • Investigate and respond to legal claims and administrative complaints
  • Oversee high-value collection and arbitration proceedings
  • Advise on bankruptcy-related legal matters
  • Identify legal risks and provide mitigation strategies
  • Implement employment law compliance initiatives
  • Lead international employment-related projects and manage APAC employment matters
  • Conduct internal workplace investigations on misconduct allegations
  • Provide legal support for organizational changes like reductions in force
  • Draft and maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and training programs
  • Negotiate restrictive covenant and severance agreements
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws
  • Manage legal hold processes and document retention policies
  • Coordinate with risk management on litigation matters
  • Advise on contractor usage in various jurisdictions
  • Support global mobility and employment law issues
  • Collaborate with compensation teams on employment-related queries
  • Instruct and manage outside counsel for non-core geography cases
  • Manage law enforcement requests and subpoenas
  • Hire and develop Associate Counsel and support staff
  • Work autonomously while collaborating with the broader legal team

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active U.S. Bar Admission
  • 7+ years of legal experience
  • Experience at a major law firm or complex multinational corporation
  • Proven ability to manage and develop junior legal talent
  • Experience coordinating outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

Pay

$185,709 – $272,373 annually
