Director, Laboratory Services

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, or related science

Credential Requirements

• Certified through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)

Professional Experience Requirements

• Seven (7) years of experience in lab
• Five (5) years’ experience in leadership

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

• Strong generalist lab knowledge and skill to include core lab, microbiology, and blood bank
• Able to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment
• Interpersonal communication skills necessary to work with hospital team members, physicians, patients, and community professionals
• Experience with phlebotomy oversight preferred
• Experience with CAP accreditation expected
