Responsibilities
- Strategy
- Lead product opportunity discovery through user research, competitive analysis, and alternatives assessment.
- Define product vision, features and capabilities aligned to the broader product area strategy.
- Run structured experiments and build prototypes to test hypotheses, validate product-market fit, and track outcomes before committing to full investment.
- Planning and Prioritization
- Own and actively lead the feature-level roadmap, making explicit tradeoffs across product and technical areas.
- Analyze users, customers, and business goals to produce clear requirements and well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Run the intake process for new work requests including prioritization decisions.
- Execution
- Work with engineering leads to refine the product backlog and translate it into an actionable engineering backlog.
- Serve as a decision-maker and escalation point throughout the development cycle to maintain delivery momentum.
- Drive product launches and adoption including stakeholder communications.
- Continuously assess product-market fit and evolve the product based on quantitative and qualitative signals.
- Lead the full product lifecycle — from launch through rationalization or decommission.
- People and Team Practices
- Coach, mentor and recognize team members to create an inspiring culture.
- Identify and advocate for team process improvements to increase delivery efficiency and reduce friction.
- 10+ years successfully delivering software products.
- At least 2 years in a technical product management or platform leadership role.
- Consistent track record of defining and delivering a roadmap with different priorities across multiple partners.
- Experience writing clear, developer-ready requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories.
- Strong analytical abilities — comfort with data, metrics, and structured experimentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for business audiences and vice versa.
- Ability to build positive relationships and influence engineering, architecture, and business teams.
- Experience with a variety of types of middleware platforms.
- Experience with platform tooling and developer experience design.
- Experience working in a regulated industry (financial services, healthcare, etc.) with compliance and governance requirements.
