Director, Information Security Governance Risk Compliance

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Information Security Governance Risk Compliance to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This leader will oversee the governance, risk, and compliance function for cybersecurity across the enterprise, helping ensure security controls and practices align with business objectives and regulatory expectations. The role will be responsible for shaping GRC strategy, strengthening audit readiness, and guiding enterprise-wide risk decisions in a highly regulated global environment. You will also partner closely with executive leadership, technology teams, and third-party stakeholders to improve resilience, address vulnerabilities, and support disciplined security oversight.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain GRC strategies aligned with organizational goals
• Direct enterprise risk assessments and compliance reviews
• Lead implementation of cybersecurity governance frameworks
• Oversee audit readiness supporting internal and regulatory needs
• Communicate enterprise cyber risk posture to executive leadership
• Manage third-party risk evaluation and contractual security mandates
• Coordinate remediation strategies for vulnerabilities and audit findings
• Guide strategic planning and budget for compliance initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, IT, or Engineering; Master's preferred
• Minimum of eight years in IT or Cybersecurity
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements
• Understanding of enterprise risk and governance frameworks
• Expertise in compliance assessments and audit practices
• Experience with third-party risk management
• Knowledge of security architecture and cloud technologies

Pay

$112,000 – $236,000 annually
