About the role

The Director of Immunology Commercial Strategy - Corporate Business Strategy Office (CBSO) will help drive commercial & market innovation strategy and business operations projects across the Immunology business.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic and Operational Excellence
    • Led key commercial on-market strategic initiatives that lay the strategic foundation to maximize patient impact of in-line brands
    • Work with brand teams to lead the development of launch strategy for launch-ready products
    • Lead key strategic initiatives across Immunology that identifies longer-term growth (e.g., Strategy long-range planning, BD assessment, Roadmap and Brand planning)
  • Execute opportunities to drive operational effectiveness within and across business units with key cross-functional partners, e.g., Finance and HR
  • Lead development of business and operational reviews to senior Commercial and Executive leadership

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: BA/BS required, MBA or advanced degree (PhD, MD) preferred
  • Minimum years of experience: 10+ with Bachelors, 8+ with Masters and 6+ with PhD/Doctorate
  • At least 5-7 years of professional industry experience with a successful track record in management consulting (at least 2+ years), pipeline management, or pharmaceutical marketing with strong analytical and strategic marketing skills
  • Previous experience in pharma R&D, Corporate Strategy, Brand Management, and/or Marketing
  • Deep understanding and experience with Neuroscience and Eye Care products both inline and in development
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and presentation skills across a variety of organization levels and disciplines, including senior executives

  • Exhibits strong emotional intelligence, diplomacy, maintenance of confidentiality, maturity, and organizational savvy
  • Self-starter, learns fast, quickly grasps the essence of concepts, can change course rapidly where required, demonstrates intellectual curiosity
  • Executes highly effective working team meetings with internal and external partners and is visibly inclusive and transparent
  • Excellent command of MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
  • Experience working with pre-launch, launch, &/or on-market commercial teams, preferred

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

This position is a hybrid opportunity requiring at minimum three (3) days onsite in the respective AbbVie office location.
