The Position
The job of Director III, Fiscal Services is done for the purpose/s of directing the overall delivery of internal business services; coordinating the implementation of new software applications related to department fiscal support; providing information and serving as a resource to others; achieving defined objectives by planning, organizing, evaluating, developing, implementing and maintaining services in compliance with established guidelines; and serving as a resource to others.
Typical Duties
- Aids in directing the day-to-day activities of internal business services and related departments (e.g. data migration/conversion protocols, etc.) for the purpose of achieving organizational objectives while complying with established requirements.
- Collaborates with a wide variety of internal and external groups (e.g. department heads, auditors, community organizations, regulatory agencies, Personnel Commission, etc.) for the purpose of implementing program components, creating long- and short-term plans, and addressing organizational objectives.
- Compiles data from internal and external sources (e.g. financial and statistical records and reports, accounts, income, expenditures, projections, etc.) for the purpose of analyzing issues, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and/or monitoring program components.
- Creates business tools for the purpose of improving productivity, efficiency, collaboration and communication across the organization.
- Develops a wide variety of documents and presentation materials, independently and/or through delegation to other personnel (e.g. plans, proposals, policies, budgets, grant opportunities, procedures, forms, etc.) for the purpose of implementing and maintaining services and/or programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: Job related experience within a specialized field is required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in job-related area.
