About the role
The Director, HVAC Strategic Partnerships is responsible for developing and managing executive-level relationships with private equity firms, portfolio companies, strategic partners, consolidators, buying groups, and other influential organizations within the HVAC ecosystem. This highly visible individual contributor role focuses on identifying growth opportunities, creating enterprise-level partnerships, and driving revenue across a portfolio of strategic relationships. The role serves as a bridge between Parts Town and key industry stakeholders, helping create scalable programs that accelerate growth for both organizations.
The ideal candidate combines executive presence, consultative selling expertise, industry knowledge, and strong business acumen to influence decision-makers and create long-term value.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with private equity firms active in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and home services
- Develop executive-level relationships with portfolio company leadership teams, including CEOs, Presidents, COOs, and operating partners
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and market expansion
- Create and execute account plans for key private equity firms and strategic partners
- Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise-level relationships and partnership initiatives
- Collaborate with Territory Sales Managers, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Product teams to maximize partnership value
- Develop programs that help partners improve operational performance, technician productivity, inventory management, and parts procurement
- Lead executive business reviews and strategic planning sessions with partners
- Monitor industry trends, M&A activity, consolidator growth, and competitive developments
- Identify new market opportunities and influence corporate strategy through market intelligence
- Represent Parts Town at industry events, conferences, private equity forums, and partner meetings
- Negotiate partnership agreements and manage strategic initiatives from concept through execution
- Deliver annual sales, profitability, and growth objectives across assigned partnerships
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in strategic sales, business development, partnerships, private equity relations, or enterprise account management
- Ability to build executive-level relationships and influence senior decision-makers
- Strong understanding of private equity ownership models and portfolio company structures
- Experience working within HVAC, distribution, building products, industrial, home services, or related industries preferred
- Demonstrated success developing and growing large strategic accounts or partnerships
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and monetize growth opportunities
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives without direct authority and the ability to operate independently in a highly entrepreneurial environment
- Proficient in English (both written and verbal)
- Quality, high-speed internet connection at home
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships with HVAC-focused private equity firms and consolidators
- Experience working with contractor platforms, buying groups, or national accounts
- Background in distribution, OEM manufacturing, or service-based industries
- Knowledge of M&A trends and investment activity within the trades industry
- Bachelor’s degree

Pay
The salary range for this role is $94,301.86 to $140,874.95 annually, based on qualifications, experience, and geographical location. This is a pay-for-performance role, with additional opportunities for profit-sharing and annual bonuses depending on performance.
