About The Role As Director, Human Resources Business Partners–Stores, you will collaborate with Territory leadership to develop and execute people strategies and talent practices for Kohl’s stores. You will lead a team focused on culture and people strategy, coaching and advising, workforce planning, talent management, organizational effectiveness and operational delivery and will support the business in achieving strategic goals and objectives. What You’ll Do Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to Terrority leadership to drive productive people solutionsDetermine Territory HR strategy by understanding business goals, advising on change initiatives, assessing HR implications and providing guidance to leadersOversee consistent execution of HR practices, systems and analyzing reportsLead talent management through implementing plans, monitoring workforce planning, acquiring and retaining key talent, analyzing data, driving performance management and ensuring compliance with compensation programsDevelop strategies to attract and maintain a skilled workforce through diagnosing gaps, recruiting and developing talent, supporting workforce development and succession planning and leveraging capabilitiesProactively seek knowledge of industry and functional specialty by researching best practices, emerging trends, technological advancements and benchmark comparisons to create best-in-class HR practices Drive and role model Kohl’s values and behaviors to reinforce leadership and associate engagementCoach and guide direct reports of Human Resources Business Partners to provide successful and effective customer service while increasing capabilities and responsibilitiesAdditional tasks may be assigned Required What Skills You Have Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field10+ years of experience in Associate Relations or Human Resources within a retail environment or related industryExperience leading strategy and supervising a multi-unit operation Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsConflict management and resolution skillsWillingness to travel up to 30-40% based on business needs Preferred PHR or SPHR certification
