Director, HR Business Partner

For our client, we are seeking a Director, HR Business Partner to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will serve as a strategic people partner to business leaders, aligning HR priorities with organizational goals and helping shape workforce decisions across the enterprise. The position will partner closely with HR leadership to support talent planning, organizational effectiveness, employee development, and retention of critical talent. It also plays a key role in strengthening compensation and benefits practices while driving solutions that improve performance and support growth. Location: South San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $204,000 – $265,000 annually Responsibilities Serve as a senior business partner and advisor on HR alignment with business strategy Collaborate with HR leaders to support all areas of HR strategy Develop and execute assessments of internal talent needs Support employee growth and development to retain key talent Attract, select, and onboard specialized talent for the organization Support development of organizational compensation and benefits strategies Identify performance gaps and implement solutions Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of progressive HR experience 5+ years in HR business partnering roles Experience building teams and executing HR strategies Fluency in HR technology tools, including HRIS and ATS Pharmaceutical or biotech experience strongly preferred Benefits 401(k) plan Comprehensive healthcare coverage Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Broad range of additional benefits Opportunities for employee engagement and growth initiatives Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
