This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a regulated financial services environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the enterprise regulatory affairs strategy and governance framework
- Act as the primary liaison for major regulatory and legislative matters, advising senior leadership
- Manage regulatory examinations, inquiries, and investigations ensuring timely responses
- Drive market conduct strategy and remediation efforts to enhance regulatory compliance
- Ensure alignment of regulatory filing strategy with business objectives and compliance requirements
- Build a proactive regulatory intelligence function to monitor emerging risks and trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; JD, MBA, MPA, or equivalent preferred
- 15+ years in insurance regulation, regulatory affairs, legal, compliance, or related fields
- In-depth knowledge of state insurance regulations and industry dynamics
- Proven leadership in complex regulatory initiatives with executive engagement
- Strong executive presence and relationship management skills
- Ability to effectively influence senior leaders in high-stakes regulatory scenarios

Pay
$187,000 – $260,000 annually
