Director/Head of People

About the role

This role advances people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience. You will partner with people leaders, finance, and executive stakeholders to align rewards programs with business needs and employee experience.

Responsibilities

• Coach managers through performance and team dynamics
• Partner with the CEO to scale the company sustainably
• Lead and discipline workforce planning and hiring processes
• Run end-to-end people programs including performance cycles and benefits renewals
• Ensure operational excellence and compliance in HR practices
• Manage the in-house recruiter and oversee recruiting operations

Qualifications

• 7+ years in People Ops/HR roles, particularly in high-growth settings
• Strong foundational knowledge in HR generalist functions
• Experience managing hybrid and distributed teams
• Autonomous and proactive in priority setting and issue resolution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and sound judgment
• Alignment with company values and mission, particularly in mental health

Pay

$200,000 – $225,000 annually
