Director, Global Trade Compliance

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Global Trade Compliance to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This leader will own the global trade compliance function and help strengthen governance across international import and export activities. The role will partner closely with customs brokers, legal, operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to reduce risk, improve controls, and support compliant business growth. This position also plays a key role in overseeing trade compliance for technology-related products, including customs, sanctions, and export control matters. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in multinational trade compliance programs and a track record of leading teams through complex regulatory environments. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $122,400 – $204,400 annually Responsibilities Lead the development and continuous improvement of the global trade compliance program Establish governance, policies, and internal controls to support compliance Provide strategic guidance on trade risks, opportunities, and operational impacts Oversee customs compliance for mobile devices and technology-related products Manage customs brokers and identify duty savings strategies Ensure compliance with export controls and sanctions requirements Conduct trade compliance risk assessments and audits Qualifications 8+ years of experience in global trade compliance 5+ years of leadership experience Experience with multinational import/export operations Background in customs and export compliance programs Preferred experience in technology, telecommunications, or logistics industries Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or JD preferred Certifications such as LCB, CES, CCS, or CUSECO are preferred Benefits Comprehensive training and development programs Opportunities for career advancement Supportive work culture focused on ethics and integrity Flexible work arrangements Health and wellness initiatives Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
