About the Role

Corning is hiring a Director, Global Supply Chain, Life Science Technologies, to join our team in Tewksbury, MA. This role provides Corning Life Sciences with sustainable competitive advantage in Global Operations and Supply Chain Management. The Director defines and executes the division’s supply chain roadmap, ensuring optimization of the activities and support required to deliver products and services to customers and business partners. The role aligns supply chain capabilities to current and future business and manufacturing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the division’s global supply chain strategy, aligning operations with business priorities and growth objectives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with leaders across operations, manufacturing, procurement, finance, quality, commercial, and business teams to drive execution and results.
  • Oversee integrated business planning, including SIOP/IBP, inventory management, demand forecasting, and supply planning across internal manufacturing and external partners.
  • Lead production planning, material flow, capacity planning, network optimization, and make-versus-buy decisions to ensure strong customer delivery and operational performance.
  • Build scalable processes, systems, and operating models that improve agility, profitability, and long-term performance.
  • Champion operational excellence through lean practices, data integrity, best-practice deployment, and compliance with global trade, governance, sustainability, and supply management standards.
  • Develop and strengthen a high-performing global organization while using metrics and insights to improve service, cost, cash flow, and overall business results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, business, supply chain, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of operations and supply chain management experience in progressively senior positions across multiple functions.
  • Experience leading global teams, including matrix assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the development and deployment of a strategy.
  • Plant or operations experience.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, or other equivalent supply chain certification.
  • Global work experience, including work across regions and cultures.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience across multiple businesses, divisions, services, functions, and/or technologies.
  • Experience in both growing and mature businesses.
  • Digital aptitude and competency, with the ability to develop and deploy new digital capabilities with minimal instruction.

Pay

The range for this position is $194,454.00 - $267,374.00 assuming full-time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
