Director, Global Sourcing - Strategy & Operations

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Global Sourcing - Strategy & Operations to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will shape global sourcing strategy and operating rigor across a complex, fast-moving technology organization. You will lead efforts to turn procurement into a strategic lever for value creation, while driving better spend visibility, supplier performance, and compliance across the enterprise. The position also plays a key role in cross-functional initiatives, including post-merger vendor integration and AI-enabled workflow transformation.

Location: Santa Clara, CA — US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $202,800 – $278,250 annually.

Responsibilities

• Elevate global sourcing strategy from transactional savings to strategic value creation.
• Spearhead AI-driven transformation for the sourcing lifecycle, optimizing contract cycles.
• Lead sourcing integration for M&A, capturing synergies and streamlining vendor contracts.
• Develop scalable processes and global playbooks to support organizational growth.
• Build a world-class spend analytics function to track vendor spend and identify savings.
• Design and manage an efficient RFP lifecycle to partner with innovative vendors.
• Define global policies and workflows to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
• Hire, train, and mentor a high-performance global team focused on measurable results.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in strategic sourcing or procurement within a global technology environment or consulting.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and M&A vendor integration.
• Expertise in spend modeling and competitive benchmarking for data-driven decisions.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and iterate quickly.
• Proven track record of implementing AI-driven tools and modern workflows.
• Strong communication skills for conveying financial risks and opportunities to senior leadership.
