Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global quality strategy aligned with business priorities, customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and applicable quality management standards.
  • Build a standardized global quality operating model, including common processes, procedures, metrics, governance routines, escalation paths, and accountability mechanisms across sites and functions.
  • Establish and maintain quality dashboards that provide clear visibility to customer satisfaction, complaints, repeat issues, warranty trends, internal defects, supplier performance, audit findings, corrective action effectiveness, and overall system quality.
  • Define and deploy critical quality metrics with consistent definitions, targets, ownership, and review cadence to ensure data-driven decisions and rapid addressing of performance gaps.
  • Lead customer quality performance, including issue resolution, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and reduction of repeat non-conformances.
  • Strengthen sustaining quality processes by monitoring defects, scrap, rework, warranty claims, audit findings, and quality trends; translate data into practical improvement actions.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing to improve supplier quality performance, conduct supplier reviews, and drive corrective action plans with critical suppliers.
  • Embed quality planning into new product introduction through design reviews, validation planning, FMEA, control plans, launch readiness, and production handoff.
  • Communicate quality priorities, risks, trends, and corrective actions clearly across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders and timely follow-through on commitments.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global quality organization, including site quality leaders and quality engineering talent, while building a culture of continuous improvement and disciplined execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Operations, or a related technical field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive quality leadership experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or engineered products environment.
  • Experience leading quality across multiple sites, regions, business units, or manufacturing locations, with demonstrated ability to standardize processes in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001 or comparable standards, audit management, statistical process control, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and Lean/Six Sigma methods.
  • Demonstrated track record improving customer satisfaction, reducing defects, resolving customer issues, strengthening supplier performance, and improving quality system maturity.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience creating and using quality dashboards, KPI scorecards, ERP/PLM data, SPC tools, or similar systems to identify trends, prioritize action, and measure progress.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills, with the ability to influence Operations, Engineering, Product Development, Supply Chain, Commercial, Customer Service, and executive teams.
  • Quality certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Manager, or Six Sigma Black Belt are preferred.

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $141,800.00 - $212,800.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for a performance-based bonus plan.
