Director, Global Payroll Operations

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Global Payroll Operations to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will lead the global payroll function with a focus on compliance, governance, and operational excellence across a complex international environment. The Director will drive strategy and process harmonization while partnering with senior leaders, vendors, and internal stakeholders to improve efficiency and service quality. This position also plays a key role in managing payroll transformations, strengthening controls, and supporting consistent practices across the organization. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive global payroll strategy that complies with labor laws
• Establish governance frameworks to manage compliance risks effectively
• Harmonize payroll processes globally, utilizing automation and self-service tools for increased efficiency
• Oversee payroll issue resolution and maintain consistent practices across the organization
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field; master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of progressive global payroll management experience
• Deep knowledge of global labor laws and compliance frameworks
• Experience overseeing global payroll teams and vendor management in a complex organization
• Strong ability to influence senior leaders and manage payroll transformations efficiently

Pay

$147,200 – $215,240 annually
