Director, Global Mobility

Location: San Mateo, CA – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $228,600 – $342,800 annually

This role will advance people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience. You will partner with global leaders, HR centers of excellence, and functional stakeholders to create consistent practices across teams and regions. The position offers the opportunity to influence culture, talent strategy, and scalable people operations within a hospitality and recreation environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance SIE's global mobility strategy and programs
• Design and implement global mobility policies and scalable processes
• Optimize mobility workflows and service delivery models
• Collaborate with various departments to support business growth and talent mobility
• Manage relationships with external vendors and oversee service performance
• Ensure compliance with immigration, tax, and payroll regulations
• Lead and develop a high-performing global mobility team
• Oversee budgeting and analytics for mobility programs
• Advise on balancing talent objectives, compliance, and risk in mobility strategy
• Drive technology evolution in mobility through automation and optimization

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in global mobility or international HR, including people leadership
• Proven experience designing or transforming enterprise global mobility programs and governance frameworks
• Deep knowledge of international tax equalization, immigration processes, and compliance frameworks
• Experience managing global mobility programs in technology, media, gaming, or entertainment sectors
• Strong vendor management, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Bachelor's degree required; relevant certifications like GMS or GPHR are a plus
• Experience with Japan-specific mobility programs is desirable
