Job Description

The Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO) is recruiting for a Director, Global Compound Market Access Leader (CMAL) in Neuroscience based in Raritan, NJ. This role operates on a hybrid model (3 days per week on-site), consistent with industry standards and designed to balance flexibility with collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the global market access strategy for the asset(s), fully aligned with global asset and portfolio priorities

  • Serve as the Market Access lead on the Compound Development Team (CDT), influencing key decisions on clinical development, indication prioritization, patient segmentation, endpoints, evidence generation, and launch sequencing

  • Integrate pricing, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), real-world evidence (RWE), access policy, and payer insights into a clear and compelling global value strategy

  • Shape integrated evidence generation strategies to strengthen compound development plan and support payer/HTA needs

  • Lead the design of health outcomes studies, economic models, and real-world evidence strategies that support sustainable reimbursement

  • Drive strong collaboration and strategic alignment within GCSO 3M team (Marketing, Market Access, and Medical Affairs) to enable a unified strategy and clear, timely decision-making across functions

  • Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional Compound Market Access Team (CMAT) and Extended Market Access Team (EMAT), driving clarity of roles, decision rights, and strategic focus

  • Collaborate closely with Regional Access, Pricing, and Policy teams to deliver coordinated strategies to support timely and optimal reimbursement outcomes across key geographies

  • Lead early scientific advice, payer research, and external engagement strategies to anticipate and mitigate access risks

  • Actively coach and develop Market Access talent within the matrix, fostering strategic thinking, clarity of ownership, and accountability

  • Serve as a thought leader within GCSO on evolving access trends, particularly in Neuroscience

Experience & Capabilities

  • Advanced degree (Master’s required; PhD, PharmD, MD preferred)

  • 8 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry (global, regional or operating company level) with a focus on Market Access, HEOR, or payer-related roles

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the reimbursement landscape across key international markets, preferably in a Market Access Lead role with extensive payer negotiation experience

  • Proven ability to influence clinical, commercial, and evidence decisions in a complex, matrixed environment

  • Strong understanding of global HTA, pricing dynamics, and payer decision-making

  • Demonstrated leadership without authority and comfort operating at senior levels

Pay Range

$164,000.00 - $282,900.00
