About the role

Penrose Hospital seeks a Director of Food Nutrition Services to lead the food and nutrition services department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years hospital nutrition management experience or three (3) years of high-volume food service management experience, or a combination of both totaling three (3) years of management experience. A Registered Dietitian or Certified Dietary Manager certification is required within 24 months, along with ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification upon hire and ServSafe Allergen certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, administers, and directs all location activities related to food service including financial accountability, compliance with standards established by CommonSpirit Health and regulatory agencies.
  • Led food and nutrition services departments.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food and nutrition (dietary) service experience for patients, residents, visitors, and employees.
  • Has authority and delegated responsibility including, the daily management of the food services, implementing training programs for dietary staff, and assuring that established policies and procedures are maintained.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years hospital nutrition management experience or three (3) years of high-volume food service management experience, or a combination of both totaling three (3) years of management experience.
  • A Registered Dietitian or Certified Dietary Manager certification within 24 months.
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification upon hire.

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field or three (3) years of equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.

Pay

The posted compensation range of $37.64 - $65.41 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
