About the role
Provides direct patient care in a clinical setting under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional. Assists with patient assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient assessments, including vital signs and physical exams.
- Administer medications as prescribed by a physician, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare treatment areas and assist with patient care procedures.
- Document patient care activities and communicate with healthcare team members.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during care procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling.
Skills
- Proficient in electronic health record systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
