Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Serves as the senior financial leader and strategic advisor to Pharmacy Service Lines, Ambulatory operations, and System Clinical Departments, contributing to the achievement of short- and long-term financial and business objectives.
- Accountable for the financial performance, growth, and sustainability of system pharmacy operations, including monitoring revenue, expense, and margin performance across programs.
- Led enterprise-wide financial planning activities, including operating and capital budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial strategy for pharmacy services.
- Provides financial analysis, reporting, and insights for system pharmacy programs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication of monthly and annual financial results.
- Oversees the development, evaluation, and presentation of return on investment (ROI) analyses, business cases, and post-implementation reviews for pharmacy initiatives and strategic investments.
- Prepares and presents financial reports, analyses, and recommendations to executive leadership, boards, and committees, including the Financial Oversight Committee.
- Maintains financial and operational performance trends, proactively identifying risks and opportunities, and driving data-informed decision-making.
- Promotes strong partnerships with leadership, support staff, and external stakeholders to support strategic direction and enterprise initiatives.
- Leads within a highly matrixed environment, effectively navigating organizational structures to drive alignment and achieve system goals.
- Communicates key financial and strategic information clearly and effectively to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Promotes a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability, identifying opportunities to enhance financial and operational performance.
Education/Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree with a finance, accounting, or business major required.
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience within management roles (340B or similar complex government experience preferred).
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level financial strategy, planning, and performance management.
- Experience supporting or partnering with executive leadership on strategic financial initiatives.
