What we’re looking for

Nexamp is growing their Portfolio Operations team and seeking to hire a Director, Finance Operations. You will own the integrity, execution, and risk posture of post-close financing operations across the Nexamp portfolios.

What you’ll do

  • Own the single source of truth for funding conditions precedent checklists, borrowing requirements, and integrated borrowing schedules across construction debt facilities and intersecting financing workstreams.
  • Capture and coordinate cross-functional delivery of conditions precedent (CP) packages, including project company documents, real estate materials, third-party reports, and regulatory or security items, ensuring quality and completeness before lender submission.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lender and tax equity investor reporting calendar, ensuring recurring and ad hoc deliverables are compiled, reviewed, and submitted accurately and on time.
  • Build forward-looking views of financing risk, including CP slippage, reporting deadlines, eligibility issues, and covenant pressures, and prepare concise issue summaries and recommended actions for decision-makers.
  • Partner with Transformation, Product & Technology, and data teams to improve tooling, dashboards, trackers, SOPs, RACIs, and playbooks that reduce cycle times and improve reliability at scale.
  • Build and lead a small, high-caliber Finance Operations team and establish operating rhythms that reinforce ownership, execution discipline, and continuous improvement across stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

  • At least 10 years of experience in project finance, construction financing operations, portfolio operations, structured/asset finance, or similar roles in a financing-heavy environment, with at least 5 years of leading and managing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience running complex, multi-party financing or compliance processes.
  • Strong familiarity with strategic finance concepts, including capital structure, covenant packages, portfolio economics, and pro forma modeling.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience building or refining processes, tools, and dashboards to manage recurring workflows at scale.
  • Exposure to infrastructure, energy, or other asset-heavy industries.
  • Familiarity with tax equity or other structured tax credit financing.
  • Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
  • Commitment to showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry, with demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
  • Previous experience engaging and inspiring teams to excel while focusing on the growth and well-being of team members.
