For a leader in the Energy & Utilities space, we are seeking a Director of Finance Operations to join their team. This remote, US-based role focuses on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes.

About the role

You will lead operational priorities, collaborating with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within the Energy & Utilities environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to Operations leadership, influencing world-class capabilities
  • Embed finance in operational decisions, ensuring they are economically sound and scalable
  • Lead financial evaluations for critical operation strategies — SCOFR, make-versus-buy, and production location analysis
  • Provide forward-looking analysis and scenario planning for strategic initiatives
  • Establish standardized finance processes across operations, enhancing governance and efficiency
  • Drive productivity improvements through automation and AI adoption in finance areas
  • Monitor global consistency and integrity in Operations finance outputs and methodologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in a global or industrial manufacturing environment
  • Deep expertise in operations/plant finance, standard and product costing, and intercompany/transfer pricing
  • Experience in leading automation, digital, and AI-enabled transformation initiatives
  • Fluency in Spanish and English — written and verbal — required
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and modern analytics tools
  • Proven ability to lead and develop finance talent with influence over senior leaders

Pay

$180,000 – $220,000 annually
