About the role

As Finance Director at Honeywell, you will hold a highly strategic and influential position responsible for leading and overseeing the business analysis and planning function. You will drive strategic planning and analysis initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and growth, analyze market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to identify business opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute business plans. This role reports to the CFO of Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS), a $3B business with both Projects and aftermarket Services in its portfolio. The position is based in Atlanta, GA, on a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the business analysis and planning function, driving strategic planning and analysis initiatives in collaboration with all HBS Regions (America, Europe, META, AEA, GRCH, India, Pacific).
  • Lead and support the forecasting and reporting of all global HBS FP&A processes including Pulse, Estimate/Forecast, Rolling forecasts, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Strategic Plan (STRAP), and Monthly Operating Review (MOR).
  • Build exceptional talent within the team and support the broader Honeywell Finance organization.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to optimize operational efficiency, cost improvements, and review investments to secure growth.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify business opportunities.
  • Leverage and help develop tools to provide value-add variance and key driver analysis for all regions by partnering closely with regional financial leaders and regional GMs.
  • Continuously improve and develop world-class FP&A processes through standardization, repeatability, and expanded reporting capabilities (e.g., streamlining closing processes and working capital forecasting).
  • Drive process excellence aligned with AMS & GPMO GDM and implement continuous best practices with system applications and other strategic initiatives.
  • Drive development of digital self-service tools to simplify service financial reporting and consolidation.
  • Lead and support financial ownership of Fixed cost and Indirect spending (including Shared elements between Projects and Services), identify cost optimization opportunities, and ensure accurate cost allocation to regions/functional areas.
  • Partner with leadership, regions, and functional teams to provide analytical support that drives decisions and highlights areas of concern or opportunity.
  • Assist in preparation of senior management financial reviews, including presentation materials, consolidation templates, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Drive transformation across HBS as Global BAP leader alongside Regional BAP leaders, participate in BAP AI initiatives to optimize standard processes, reduce reporting time, and increase time for analysis, forecasting, and P&L, BS, Cash improvements.
  • Support other strategic business initiatives—assess and report their impact vs. expectations (e.g., EAM, Sustainable Energy, Software (Connected), NPI, Productivity tracking).
  • Leverage Global Business Services teams.

Requirements

Must Have

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business analysis and planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a Projects and/or Service-based environment.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to provide actionable insights.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Role model for the organization and continuous builder of exceptional talent within Finance.
