Director, Facilities

About the Role

Flex is seeking a Director, Facilities to join our team in Austin, TX. Reporting to the Sr Director, Facilities, this role will oversee the efficient management of facilities, ensuring compliance with company and government standards and regulations. The Director will lead a broad functional area through several department managers, guiding complex activities and contributing to the organization's growth.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control the activities of one or more functional areas through senior managers, overseeing planning, budgeting, implementation, and cost management.
• Partner with senior managers and corporate partners to establish strategic plans and goals.
• Address abstract and complex problems across functional areas of the business.
• Make final decisions on administrative and operational matters to ensure achievement of goals.
• Develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Create, modify, and implement company policies affecting immediate operations and potentially the entire organization.
• Ensure budgets and schedules align with corporate requirements.
• Advise subordinate managers on meeting schedules, achieving goals, and resolving technical problems.
• Interact with executives and major customers for contract negotiations and other influential matters.
• Establish and recommend policy changes affecting subordinate organizations.
• Implement HR strategies to recruit and retain a qualified workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, related degree, or equivalent experience and training.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities engineering or a related field, including management.
