About the role
The Director, ERP (SAP) leads the strategy, implementation, and ongoing management of SAP ERP systems across the organization. This role is critical to optimizing business processes, advancing digital transformation, and aligning technology solutions with business objectives in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute an enterprise ERP strategy, with emphasis on SAP solutions that support business objectives.
- Partner with senior leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and digital innovation.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure ERP performance, business value, and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Lead planning, budgeting, execution, and governance for SAP projects, including upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.
- Direct cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Assess and improve SAP capabilities, including SAP S/4HANA, FICO, MM, SD, and PP, to enhance performance and user experience.
- Ensure SAP solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and compliant with applicable standards and regulations.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing ERP team, including SAP specialists, developers, analysts, and support resources.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary liaison among IT, business functions, and external partners for SAP-related initiatives.
- Provide executive leadership with clear updates on ERP performance, project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to SAP implementations, integrations, and ongoing operations.
- Maintain data integrity, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and adherence to organizational policies.
- Implement testing, quality assurance, and change management practices to protect the integrity of the SAP landscape.
- Maintain reliable 24x7 operational availability of SAP systems and related business-critical services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of ERP management experience, including at least 7 years focused on SAP.
- Proven success leading large-scale SAP implementations, including ECC6 and SAP S/4HANA migrations.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or similar operational environments preferred.
Skills
- Strong expertise across SAP modules, including FICO, MM, SD, PP, and WMS.
- Deep understanding of SAP integrations with third-party platforms and enterprise systems.
- Working knowledge of SAP analytics tools and emerging technologies, including AI, IoT, and machine learning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic, results-oriented leader with strong business acumen and execution discipline.
Qualifications
- SAP Certified Application Professional certification preferred.
- PMP or ITIL certification preferred.
