Director, Enterprise Analytics
About the role
As Director, Enterprise Analytics, you will lead the team that is responsible for translating our largest customers' needs into optimized acquisition campaigns in the EverQuote marketplace. You will work closely with our customers directly, and with stakeholders in Business Development, Data Science, Engineering, Product Management, to shape EverQuote's offering into the best channel for profitable policy growth for insurance carriers. You will help your team build bridges into other parts of the Analytics organization to align carrier bidding with our own traffic acquisition. You are a talented analyst and leader of analysts. You can develop and strengthen a team, but you also enjoy rolling up your sleeves to execute work yourself. This role is built for someone with range; you know how to communicate with customers, build strong cross-functional relationships, use quantitative methods to uncover business opportunity, and continually uplevel your team. You will report directly to the Head of Analytics and play a key role in shaping strategy across the Analytics function at EverQuote.
What you'll do
- Team leadership: lead and strengthen the Enterprise Analytics team, developing talent and identifying gaps to fill
- Stakeholder collaboration: span Analytics teams and functional boundaries to shape Enterprise strategy and deliver and optimize best-in-class performance marketing campaigns for carrier customers
- Carrier collaboration: engage with and influence carriers directly, helping them translate goals into concrete bidding actions
- Functional leadership: with the Head of Analytics, refine and execute on strategies to build an industry-leading Analytics function at EverQuote
What you bring to the team
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Analytics or a related domain, with a focus on quantitative business problem-solving
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related field OR demonstrated analytical ability or equivalent hands-on professional experience
- Proven experience managing people, ideally including managing senior analysts or managers
- Experience and skill in engaging B2B customers directly
- Strong SQL skills; able to independently pull, shape, and analyze large datasets (Snowflake a plus)
- Solid experimentation fundamentals: significance, power, incrementality measurement, confound control
- Clear communication with both technical and executive stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience in the insurance industry, digital performance marketing, or marketplace businesses - these experiences are valuable but not required, and a great candidate will learn these on the job
Pay
The base salary for this full-time hybrid role is $171,900 - $185,000. In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in variable cash bonus programs, equity, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility which are designated by role.
Schedule
This role requires working in-office 3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
