Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive planning and resource management for hardware delivery, ensuring on-time execution across internal teams and external suppliers
- Lead improvement strategies and organizational initiatives including establishing a means for an integrated master schedule of development efforts
- Oversee capacity planning and resource allocation, aligning Engineering activities with customer, OEM, and software feature-driven timelines
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess future Engineering capacity and resource needs
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to resolve scheduling conflicts and align priorities, ensuring consensus on key dates and deliverables
- Drive the creation and execution of recovery plans for projects not meeting expectations
- Proactively communicate with senior stakeholders to manage date changes and gain consensus on updated timelines and priorities
- Set clear expectations for deliverables, milestones, and quality metrics
- Develop and oversee performance metrics for both internal engineering teams and external suppliers
- Implement corrective action plans for resources when execution does not support expectations
- Lead and coordinate both local and remote teams, fostering collaboration and alignment to ensure successful delivery of necessary hardware and software
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- 8-12+ years of experience working in a similar role
- 6+ years of experience in a management / leadership capacity
- 3-5 years of experience establishing, maintaining and fully owning department budget
- Project Management or Program Management certifications, preferred but not required
- Experience with management of third parties
- Experience with scheduling and configuration control tools (MS Project, JIRA, PLM)
- Deep understanding of hardware and software phases development processes within an AS9100 environment
