About the role

As Director, Engineering - Data & Insights, you will lead a team of engineers focused on leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to drive business insights and innovation. You will be responsible for designing and implementing data-driven solutions that enhance product performance and user experience. This role requires a deep understanding of data science principles and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of data scientists and engineers to develop and implement cutting-edge data analysis and machine learning models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute data-driven initiatives that improve product performance and user engagement.
  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure to support scalable and efficient data processing and storage.
  • Conduct regular data reviews and provide actionable insights to inform business strategy and decision-making.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in data science and machine learning.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering or related fields, with at least 5 years leading a team of data scientists and engineers.
  • A strong background in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
  • Experience with data warehousing, data mining, and data visualization tools.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, innovative solutions that have positively impacted business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience with Python, R, or other programming languages commonly used in data science.

Pay
