About the role
The Director, Energy Management at CoreCivic is responsible for leading utility-related activities and developing energy strategies that include efficiency projects and operational improvements across all facilities.
Responsibilities
- Makes recommendations for energy conservation and implements projects that reduce energy use in electricity, natural gas, propane, and water.
- Reviews and recommends modifications to mechanical and electrical systems.
- Partners with energy providers to secure favorable supply side agreements.
- Resolves utility and energy service provider issues.
- Conducts facility condition assessments and energy audits.
- Coordinates with field operations to resolve mechanical problems affecting energy efficiency and consumption.
- Implements and maintains utility tracking database systems.
- Analyzes trends and identifies opportunities for savings in energy consumption.
- Provides technical and professional support regarding energy consumption and reduction throughout the corporation.
- Ensures regulatory and company compliance through established auditing processes and risk analysis.
- Leads energy assessment/monitoring activities including data gathering and ongoing monitoring programs.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Four years of experience in progressive energy engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial and industrial energy engineering, utility cost analysis, life-cycle cost analysis, and facility management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and direct the activities of others towards the accomplishment of goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
