Director, Employee Relations

About the role

Mastercard is seeking an experienced Employee Relations professional to join the Global Employee Relations team. In this role, you will partner closely with People Business Partners, Employment Law, Compliance, and business leaders to deliver consistent, compliant employee relations practices aligned with Mastercard values and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to HR, managers, and employees about company policies and processes
• Investigate employee relations concerns, including complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other work-related issues
• Prepare investigative documentation, including interview notes and summary of findings
• Prepare, track, and maintain appropriate investigation and reorganization data and documentation
• Use case management system to manage cases from intake to resolution
• Provide and manage periodic reporting to relevant senior stakeholders
• Establish strong cross-functional relationships at all levels and geographies
• Partner with relevant control functions on investigations and outcomes
• Develop global guidance documents, materials, and training for HR
• Develop, drive, and deliver employee relations strategies, guidelines, and procedures
• Partner with internal employment counsel, compliance, and HR Business Partners to effectively manage employee relations issues/investigations
• Develop and deliver training regarding HR policy and processes for HR, business leaders, and employees as needed
• Manage global projects with proven project management skills
• Create insights from data to inform process improvements and drive a culture consistent with Mastercard values

Qualifications

• Experience advising on a wide range of employee relations issues
• Experience in a multi-national, fast-paced organization
• Strong knowledge of US employment law and investigative skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to organize and analyze data
• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect

Pay

• Purchase, New York: $168,000 - $269,000 USD
• O'Fallon, Missouri: $146,000 - $234,000 USD

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
