DIRECTOR, DINING SERVICES - Billings Public Schools, MT
Job Summary
Billings Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, people-first Director of Dining Services to lead a large K-12 dining program. Reporting to the Resident District Manager, this leader will support dining operations across 35 schools and over 16,000 students enrolled. The ideal candidate is a boots-on-the-ground leader who inspires excellence through presence, positivity, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a solid frontline associates
- Drive critical initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and increase profitability
- Recruit, train, and develop top talent within the organization
- Oversee the annual budget and control costs
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards
- Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and associates
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of a dining service operation
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Food Services/Management/Hospitality/Culinary/Nutrition necessary or equivalent experience preferred
- Three plus years of foodservice management experience
- Knowledge of high-volume food production is preferred
- Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer skills
