About the role

Director, US Air and Space Force Programs & Requirements provides expertise to the Electronics Systems Sector Leadership and its Business Areas by supporting business development, developing marketing plans, capture strategies, and participating in industry events. This role supports current business activities with the Department of Air Force and the Air National Guard Bureau. It requires knowledge of HQ US Air Force, including the Secretary of the Air Force and other relevant staff, and expertise in Air and Space Staff organizations and budgeting/requirements functions within the Air Force Corporate Process.

Responsibilities

  • Supports business development by identifying, qualifying, and creating opportunities
  • Develops marketing plans, capture strategies, and participates in Industry Days, Symposiums, Professional Events, Conferences, and Trade Shows
  • Serves as a trusted partner to senior military and USG civilian customers, current and prospective
  • Coordinates with Electronics Systems Business Development, Engineering, Technical Directors, and Program Management personnel to support customer briefings highlighting BAE Systems capabilities and solutions
  • Acts as the Service lead and reports to the Electronic Systems Sector Vice President of Customer Requirements & Advocacy

Requirements

  • Secret clearance required, Top Secret clearance eligibility
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Operational flying experience with the USAF
  • Experience with US Air Force, and MAJCOM or Air Staff Level Operations, Planning, Strategy, Requirements, or Acquisition Organizations
  • Understanding of DoD Requirements, Acquisition and Budget development processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in direct people management roles

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Thorough understanding of the US Air Force market, its customers, and the ability to think strategically and champion future opportunities for Electronic Systems
  • US Air Force acquisition program or requirements development/JCIDS experience
  • Knowledge of Air Force Foreign Military Sales
  • Thorough knowledge of the Department of Air Force Corporate Process for Planning, Programming, and Budgeting

Benefits

Full-time salary range: $173,023 - $294,137
