About the role

Join us as a Debt Capital Markets Director. Take on a senior Debt Capital Markets (DCM) origination role covering US-based corporate clients. Work closely with Corporate Bankers and product partners across Corporate Derivatives, Liability Management, Corporate Advisory, Syndicate, Hybrid Capital, Rates and FX Sales and Trading, with a focus on investment-grade-rated corporates.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for delivering consistently high standards of customer service across the full transaction lifecycle.
  • Act with integrity, due skill, care and diligence, while developing, deepening and institutionalising strong client relationships.
  • Maintain close, collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders, working as part of a cohesive team to deliver joined-up client outcomes.
  • Act as the primary DCM contact for the bank’s customer base, ensuring a strong and growing customer relationship.
  • Deliver budgeted DCM revenue through thoughtful client advice, proactive coverage and strong execution.
  • Help drive new business for the franchise through targeted client prospecting.
  • Sustain a robust risk control environment, ensuring activity is conducted in line with policy, regulation and best practice.
  • Undertake periodic business-related projects to support analysis and the ongoing development of the franchise.
  • Support the development of junior talent in Primary Capital Markets by providing guidance, oversight and coaching where appropriate.

Requirements

  • At least eight years’ experience in DCM origination within an investment banking environment.
  • A strong track record of transaction execution and client coverage.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset.
  • The confidence to take on broad responsibilities in a growing platform.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree, BA or BSSeries 79 and Series 63 licenses.

  • Base annual salary range: $300,000 – $350,000 at the start of employment.
