Director, Data Strategy

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Data Strategy to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will shape the enterprise data strategy that supports customer engagement and integrated marketing efforts across the organization. The Director will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define data requirements, strengthen governance, and ensure data capabilities translate into measurable business value. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of life sciences data ecosystems and the ability to balance functional needs with therapeutic area-specific priorities. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $185,500 – $344,500 annually Responsibilities Lead data strategy for customer engagement and integrated marketing areas Advance data strategies to improve customer activation and marketing effectiveness Differentiate between functional and therapeutic area-specific data needs Align stakeholders around data requirements, governance, and value realization Drive continuous improvement of functional data assets and transparency Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred 8+ years of experience in data, analytics, or data product strategies for life sciences Strong understanding of life sciences data ecosystems and governance Proven ability to create strategies for customer engagement or marketing Experience in distinguishing functional and therapeutic area-specific data needs Skilled in aligning multiple stakeholders around data capabilities Strategic thinking and strong executive communication skills Benefits Comprehensive health, life, and disability benefits 401(k) plan with company contributions Generous time-off package including vacation and holidays Performance-based cash incentive and potential equity awards Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
