About the role
Sanmina is looking for a Director of Corporate Quality to manage and support all aspects of Quality and Customer Support activities for electronic manufacturing related operations in the Power and Energy market segment, including but not limited to transformer manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of sites with industry standards, customer requirements and specifications
- Main contact for customers and proactively work on developing strong collaboration with customer counterparts
- Support of PPAP or equivalent activities at site level – from training to regular updates
- Assists plants with development of Control Plans and Work Instructions in accordance to their PFMEAs, Process Flows, Company quality system’s procedures, customer requirements as required
- Partner with Sanmina Corporate Quality and Manufacturing Operations to solve quality problems while maintaining manufacturing efficiencies, meeting competitive business deadlines and increasing customer satisfaction levels
- Support plants as necessary with root cause analysis, 8D, problem solving while driving consistent and lasting improvements
- Ensure communication between plants and sharing of best practices, lessons learned - for consistent customer support and representation
Requirements
- Power & Energy market segment experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
- 7+ years industrial experience in Quality Engineering/Quality Management in the EMS Industry, with operational background - hands on, plant level experience
- Experience working with teams in a global environment
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in managing all aspects of Quality Management System, Operational Excellence activities in a Power and Energy manufacturing environment
- Leverage Lean and Six Sigma experience a plus
- Very strong communication skills
- Able to develop strong relationships with customers and plant level teams
- Able to facilitate collaboration and communication with all operational teams as well as support functions worldwide
- Able to travel - domestic and internationally
- Strong presentation skills - both presentation material development and presentation delivery
