Director, Corporate Initiatives
About Corporate Initiatives
Corporate Initiatives is Helix's in-house strategy and transformation team, working directly with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors to define and execute the company's highest-priority initiatives. The team operates at the intersection of strategy, operations, analytics, and transformation. We partner with leaders across every function and business unit to solve complex problems, unlock growth, improve efficiency, and accelerate execution.
- Corporate strategy and planning: Driving annual and long-range strategic planning processes and helping define the company's growth roadmap
- Strategic initiative execution: Leading high-impact, CEO-sponsored initiatives that improve customer outcomes, accelerate growth, enhance profitability, and strengthen competitive positioning
- Transformation leadership: Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that improve growth, efficiency, customer outcomes, and business performance
- Executive decision support: Providing analytical rigor, structured problem-solving, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership
- Talent development: Building a culture of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement while developing future business leaders
About The Role
As a Director, Corporate Initiatives, you will lead some of Helix's most important strategic priorities, working directly with executives across Product, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Operations, and other Corporate functions. This is not a traditional strategy role. You will be expected to own outcomes, not recommendations, as you move seamlessly between strategy development, analytical problem solving, program leadership, and hands-on execution. One day you may be evaluating a new growth opportunity; the next, driving an operational transformation program or helping executives align around a major business decision. Successful candidates are comfortable operating in ambiguity, quickly building structure around complex problems, and driving initiatives from concept through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own enterprise-critical initiatives from problem definition through implementation and measurable business outcomes
- Structure ambiguous business problems into actionable workplans, hypotheses, and recommendations
- Drive cross-functional programs from strategy through implementation, ensuring measurable business impact
- Partner with executives to identify opportunities to improve growth, customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and profitability
- Develop fact-based analyses and business cases that support critical strategic decisions
- Facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholder groups with competing priorities and perspectives
- Build executive and Board-level presentations, recommendations, and communications
- Establish governance, success metrics, and reporting mechanisms for strategic programs
- Coach and mentor team members while helping elevate problem-solving and execution capabilities across the organization
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on emerging challenges and opportunities
This role is designed for leaders who want to move beyond advisory work and directly shape business performance, operating models, and strategic decisions. Success is measured by outcomes delivered, not presentations produced.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, private equity, business operations, transformation, or a related field
- Experience in enterprise software, SaaS, or technology is a plus
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives with executive-level visibility
- Demonstrated ability to structure and solve challenging business problems using data and fact-based analysis
- Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- BA/BS degree in business, science, engineering or similar discipline preferred but not required; MBA, MA, or other graduate degree a plus
- Experience within enterprise software, SaaS, technology, or private-equity-backed environments is a plus
- Willingness to travel ~10% of the time
