About the role

This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $190,000 – $210,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the strategic partner and right-hand to the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting
  • Lead day-to-day corporate accounting functions with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Investigate discrepancies within transactional data and reconcile accounts
  • Identify and implement accounting process automations and AI integrations
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP while coordinating external audits and maintaining SOX controls
  • Develop and improve financial controls for complex business operations
  • Mentor and lead a global accounting team to foster a high-performance culture
  • Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights for strategic decision-making
  • Support ad-hoc projects with financial expertise and strategic guidance

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in leadership roles, particularly in high-growth environments
  • Experience in publicly traded or late-stage pre-IPO companies (3+ years preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Expert knowledge of US GAAP, financial statements, multi-entity consolidations, and SOX 404 compliance
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, especially NetSuite, and an interest in AI tools for optimization
  • Exceptional attention to detail and operational excellence in financial anomaly detection
  • Strong self-starter capable of managing multiple projects and driving results with minimal supervision
